West Side Community Center

Residents Frustrated

City proposal adds layers of bureaucracy and top down control by the City of the Westside Community Center.  Friends model should be used to enable independent community board selected by community without City oversight and/or control to provide progamming by, of and for the community.  City plans to commercialize the building as opposed to allow a nonprofit model to cover expenses.
